The Factory

The Factory earns its reputation on one undeniable feature: from the 18th-floor rooftop terrace on Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City, you get an almost complete panorama of the New York City skyline — Manhattan glittering to the east, Brooklyn and Queens stretching out on either side. It's a view that routinely stops newcomers mid-sentence and keeps regulars coming back.

The food and drink menu leans American with Latin touches — the fritura (fried snacks) is a consistent crowd-pleaser, cocktails are generously poured, and the bar stocks a solid bottle selection. The kitchen handles its mains adequately, though the rooftop views and drinks are the primary draw. Note that music volume runs high in the evenings, turning the space more lounge-like after dark.
